The Addergoole Titanic Society remembers the 14 people who left our parish in 1912 to emigrate to America aboard RMS Titanic on its infamous maiden voyage. They travelled to Queenstown (Cobh) and boarded the ship; sadly 11 drowned and only 3 women survived when Titanic sank in the early hours of 15th April.
Come to Lahardane and visit the Mayo Titanic Memorial Park and the stunning Titanic and Emigration themed stained glass windows in St Patrick's Church.
